A DREAM
- LAST night when I was fast asleep,
- Who do you think ran after me?
- But A, B, C, each holding hands—
- It was the strangest sight to see!
- A danced a jig on nimble feet,
- Fat B sat down upon the bed,
- And C, to show what he could do,
- Turned round and stood upon his head!
- In blank surprise I stared at them—
- How odd the dancing letters seemed!
- And then I rubbed my eyes and woke,
- And knew that I had only dreamed!
