This diskette contains two publications, Braille Book Review and Talking Book Topics, published by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. These bimonthly publications list special-format books available to eligible readers through a national network of cooperating libraries. The files are pure ASCII text files. Each file contains the In Brief section, the book listings complete with annotation, and a magazine listing. The files can be read by most DOS or Windows word processing, editing, or spreadsheet software. Check your program's documentation for specific instructions on how to read ASCII (DOS) text files. During 1996 this product is being offered to gauge interest in the format. During a one-year period, you will continue to receive the format of Braille Book Review or Talking Book Topics to which you currently subscribe along with the computer diskette edition. Persons who subscribe to this diskette edition may suggest changes or improvements by writing to: Publications and Media Section, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Washington, DC 20542 or by e-mail to nls@loc.gov. At the end of the pilot period, your suggestions will be used to help evaluate the usefulness of and interest in this product. _________________________________________________________________ Files contained on this diskette: BBR-96-4.TXT Braille Book Review, July-August 1996 TBT-96-4.TXT Talking Book Topics, July-August 1996 README.TXT this file
