ROBERTS, SELDON LOW: 1871-1930.

Seldon Low Roberts was born in Monroeville, Ind., on Feb. 6, 1871, the son of Hiram and Elizabeth Ann page: [518][View Page [518]] Todd Roberts. He received the A.B. degree in 1902 and the D.D. degree in 1926 from Franklin College. On Oct. 13, 1898, he married Violet Burkhart and they had four children: Princess Clarene, Lillian Alice, Gladys Irene, and Elsie Elizabeth. Roberts was ordained a Baptist minister in 1897 and held pastorates in Indiana and Illinois until 1910. From 1910 to 1920 he served as director of religious education for Baptist churches in the state of Indiana . In 1920 he became director of leadership training for the American Baptist Publication Society. He died on June 11, 1930.
