ALTER, J. CECIL: 1879-

Cecil Alter was born near Rensselaer, Ind., on March. 31, 1879. He was a meteorologist;, editor, and historian. He was editor of the UTAH HISTORICAL QUARTERLY beginning in 1928 and continued in that capacity for many years.
