Dr. Jacob Redding
was the son of Iredell Redding of
Henry County, Ind. He was born sometime in the
Thirties and, after studying medicine, practiced in
New Castle
and Knightstown,
Henry County, at least
through the Nineties, when he is recorded as practicing in the former city. He is
said to have invented a bicycle coaster brake.
