PARKER, BENJAMIN STRATTAN: 1833-1911.
Born in a pioneer's cabin in Henry
County, Ind.,
on Feb. 10, 1833,
Benjamin Strattan Parker
was educated at home by his parents. In 1869
he married Huldah Wickersham. During his life he was a teacher,
editor, office-holder, and businessman and, in addition to his books, contributed
poetry and prose to periodicals of his day. He was a resident of
New Castle, Ind. He died in 1911.
