Samuel Jacobs
was born in
Pennsylvania
in 1821 and moved to Logansport, Ind., in 1871. For a time he was
editor of the LOGANSPORT SUN and was mayor of the city from
1877 to 1881. He died in 1891 and was buried at Goodland, Ind., Before coming to Indiana he had been a Presbyterian
minister but left the church.
