FLORY, AARON M.: 1833-1893.
Aaron M. Flory
, a prominent lawyer of Logansport, Ind., was born in 1833 and died at
Emporia, Kan., in 1893. He married Elizabeth Funston of Cass County; they
had three children. During the Civil War Mr. Flory served with
the 46th Indiana Regiment and rose to the rank of lieutenant
colonel. He was captured at Sabin Pass., La., in 1863, and
escaped from a rebel prison in
Texas
. His one published work is an entertaining account of his experience in
prison and his escape.
