BRIDGES, ALBERT FLETCHER: 1853-1926.
Albert Fletcher Bridges , son of Dillon Bridges, was born near Poland, Ind., on Aug. 22, 1853. He married Ada Craycraft on Dec. 25, 1870.
Following his graduation from De Pauw University in 1874, he entered the itinerant ministry of the Methodist Episcopal Church, retiring in 1881 to become editor and publisher of the BRAZIL REGISTER. The Rev. Mr. Bridges was a contributor to the NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW and other magazines. He and his wife endowed the chair of Romance Languages at De Pauw.
The latter part of his life was spent in Colorado Springs, Colo. He died in November, 1926.
