BRAYTON, ALEMBERT WINTHROP: 1848-1926.
Alembert Winthrop Brayton , son of Elijah F. and Helen Parker Brayton, was born in Avon, N. Y. , on Mar. 4, 1848. He was reared on a farm in Illinois and attended Chicago Normal School, from which he was graduated in 1869. In 1871-72 he was a student at Cornell University. After receiving the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Butler University and the M.D. from the Indiana Medical College, he served as a professor at the latter institution for many years. From 1892 to 1911 he was editor of the INDIANA MEDICAL JOURNAL. Dr. Brayton died in 1926.
