BOLLMAN, LEWIS: 1811-1888.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., on May 11, 1811, Lewis Bollman graduated from Indiana University in 1831 and received the LL.B. degree in 1846. A lawyer, reporter, and farmer, he originated the plan for the Ohio & Mississippi Railroad and the P.V. & C.R. Railroad. He died in Bloomington, Ind., on Oct. 3, 1888.
