BLAKE, MARY KATHARINE EVANS (MRS. WILLIAM MCKENDREE): 1859-1923.
Born in Rockport, Ind., in 1859, Mary Katharine Evans , daughter of Joseph Smith and Mary Catherine Cotton Evans, was educated at Rockport Collegiate Institute. She married William McKendree Blake on Aug. 28, 1876. For a number of years she was engaged in newspaper work in Washington, D. C., and later lived in Minneapolis, Minn. She died in Indianapolis in 1923.
