Biographical Note

Born in 1932, Bradbury was an academic, writer and critic best known for his novel The History Man.


The collection is in the arrangement as received.

Scope and Content Note

The papers include both extensive material for literary and scholarly works from earlier periods of his life, as well as manuscript drafts, typescripts, correspondence, and copious related material for such later works as The Atlas of Literature (London: De Agostini, 1996), Inside Trading: A Comedy in Three Acts (London: Methuen, 1997), and his final novel To the Hermitage (London: Picador, 2000). The papers also provide additional detailed insight into his life as a teacher, lecturer, and literary critic.
