Collection consists of letters by Morgan Lewis to his wife, Mrs. Getrude (Livingston) Lewis. The letters related to Lewis' military service under General Henry Dearborn at his headquarters in Albany, New York, in 1812, and on the Niagra frontier, and at Sackets Harbor, New York, in 1813; and under General James Wilkinson at Sackets Harbor and in the campaign against Montreal in 1813.
