Delbert Charles Miller, 1913-1998, was a professor of sociology and business
administration at Indiana University.

Scope and Content Note
The Miller mss., 1890-1990, consists of the papers of Indiana University professor of
sociology and business administration Delbert Charles Miller, 1913-1998. Writings by
Miller include
Industrial Sociology (1951) and
Industry, Labor, and Community (1960) , co-written with
William H. Form; and
Community Power Structures: Comparative
Studies of Four World Cities
(1970) and
Leadership and Power in the BOS-WASH Megalopolis (1975), by Miller.
Outlines, drafts, typescripts, and reviews are present in the writings section. Also
included are lectures on industrial sociology delivered by Miller at the University
of San Marcos in Lima, Peru in 1965 as a Fulbright professor, correspondence mostly
with his editors, and papers concerning the preservation of Mitchell Hall on the
Indiana University campus, Bloomington.
