Series: House Select Committee To Investigate Covert Arms Transactions With Iran (Iran-Contra), 1987   

 
Scope Note: This series consists of the complete set of publications resulting from the Iran-Contra investigation and of six boxes of materials that had obviously previously been in binders which were removed before packing into six boxes labeled as International Relations/Foreign Affairs Committee records. There was no obvious sequence to the boxes. An attempt to reestablish the original sequence has been made, based on internal evidence and respecting the placement of materials that, although similar in appearance, were clearly separated. For instance, the sequence entitled Hearings Briefing Materials is so labeled because of the list of witnesses for whom materials are provided entitled "Briefing Materials Witnesses." These materials contain Exhibits that are similar to those in the sequence entitled "Hearing Exhibits," for which there was no list of witnesses, but they may or may not have originally been part of the same sequence. Also, the original order has been retained, on the assumption that it may be the order of deposition of witnesses. These materials were included in the publications emanating from the investigation.
