NEW PROPOSITIONS.

The following described bills were introduced, read the first time and severally referred to appropriate Committees:

By Mr. Henry [S. 121]: Providing for the letting of contract for publishing of advertisements growing out of the duties of any County or Township page: 59[View Page 59] officer, by County Commissioners, including the printing of the delinquent list.

By Mr. Howard [S. 122]: Providing for the partition of lands, setting off parts of and assigning dowers therein, or locating roads and defining the duties of Commissioners, Surveyors, and Reviwers in such cases necessary.

By Mr. Davidson [S. 122]: To amend Section 6 of the supervisor of highway act.

By Mr. Kramer [S. 124]: To amend Sections 103 and 104 of the Common School law.

Representatives Cauthorne and Lindsley now appeared at the bar of the Senate, and being announced by the Doorkeeper and recognized by the President of the Senate--

Representative Cauthorne stated that by direction of the House of Representatives, a Committee of Members of the House was in waiting to escort the Senate to a Joint Convention, to be held instanter in the hall of the House, where seats had been provided for Senators.

On motion by Mr. Hefron the Senate left its chamber to attend the sittings of the Joint Convention.

When Senators had returned and resumed their places in the Senate Chamber, on motion by Mr. Bell, it was ordered, it being about 1 o 'clock p.m., that when the Senate adjourns it adjourn to meet at 3 o 'clack p.m.
