WATER WORKS.
The bill [S. 156] to authorise cities constructing water works to issue bonds and dispose of the same in aid of the construction of such water works, was read and ordered to the second reading.
On motion of Mr. Butterworth (the constitutional restriction being suspended for the purpose) the bill was advanced and finally passed the House of Representatives - yeas, 74; nays, 1.
The ill [S. 289] to fix the salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Court, was read and referred to the Committee on Fees and Salaries.
