SHERIFF TITLE TO REAL ESTATE.
Mr. Willson's bill [H. R. 80] declaring what evidence shall be sufficient prima facie to establish title to real estate under a sheriff sale on execution; and providing, etc., was taken up on the third reading.
Mr. WILLSON explained its provisions the record of judgment and sheriff's deed to be sufficient, without record of the page: 174[View Page 174] complaint. He regarded it as a very important bill in its bearing upon the title to real estate.
Mr. GORDON suggested objections to which Mr. Willson replied.
The bill was then finally passed the House-yeas 49, nays 13.
