THE BREVIER LEGISLATIVE REPORTS.

TENTH VOLUME.

INDIANA LEGISLATURE.

IN SENATE.

SATURDAY, March 6, 1869.

The Senate met at quarter past nine o'clock a. m., pursuant to adjournment. The President pro tem., John R. Cravens, in the chair--directed the Secretary to read the minutes of yesterday's proceedings.

Mr. BRADLEY then called attention to the fact that the Secretary's journal of day before yesterday had never been read.

The PRESIDENT pro tem. The Secretary informs me, that the journal of yesterday is in the hands of the printer. The matter about which the Senator I suppose is somewhat solicitous is already upon the journal.

Mr. JOHNSON of Spencer. I move that we adjourn till Monday morning at nine o'clock.

Mr. BRADLEY moved to amend that motion, so that we adjourn sine die that members may go home to-day.

Mr. FISHER supposed that under the rules when we adjourn it must be till nine o'clock, unless a resolution be adopted fixing another time; and we connot adopt a resolution because we are without a quorum.

The PRESIDENT pro tem. We can only adjourn from day to day to the regular hour.

The motion was then agreed to.

Accordingly, the next meeting is nine o'clock Monday morning, under the rules of the Senate.
