THE BREVIER LEGISLATIVE REPORTS.
TENTH VOLUME.
INDIANA LEGISLATURE.
IN SENATE.
FRIDAY, March 5, 1869.The Senate met at nine o'clock, a. m., pursuant to adjournment--the Lieutenant Governor in the Chair.
Mr. FISHER moved that the Senate adjourn till nine o'clock to-morrow morning.
Mr. BRADLEY. Mr. President--
Mr. ROBINSON of Decatur, hoped the motion would not be agreed to.
Mr. BRADLEY thought the motion to adjourn was out of order. The first proceeding under the rule is the reading of the journal, unless suspended by order of the Senate.
The LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR said the first rule required the journal to be read on the appearance of two-thirds, and it was was apparent that no two-thirds could be here.
Mr. BRADLEY did not raise the point of order for the purpose of being factious, but simply wanted the journal read to know what it contained.
The motion to adjourn was agreed to.
And then--
The Senate adjourned till nine o'clock a. m. to-morrow
