RESOLUTIONS.

Mr. PIERCE of Vigo, submitted a resolution which was adopted, for an order to print hundred copies of the report of the Trustees of the Wabash and Erie Canal.

Mr. BUSKIRK, submitted the following resolution: which was adopted.

WHEREAS, It is reported that the New York and Erie Railroad has leased the Columbus, Chicago, and Indiana Central, and the Ohio and Mississippi railways for ninety-nine years; and whereas, no law of the State of Indiana authorizes such lease; and whereas, such lease is the centralization of large and dangerous powers in a corporation not under the control of the Legislature of this State, and calculated to add largely to the burdens of the agricultural and other vital interests of Indiana; therefore

RESOLVED, That the Special Railroad Committee be required to examine into such matter with power to send for person and papers, and report by bill or otherwise.

Mr. VATER submitted a concurrent resolution which was adopted, for an order for a joint convention to hear the addresses heretofore referred to, on the subject "Prison Reform," tomorrow afternoon.

Mr. OVERMYER, (by consent) submitted an order for the regular meeting of the House in the morning at nine o'clock.

Mr. BEELER proposed to add, "and two o'clock in the afternoon," which was accepted, and so the order was taken by the House.

Mr. WILLIAMS of Knox, (by consent) submitted a concurrent resolution, which was adopted, authorizing the Governor to issue warrants in particular to the several persons (Daniel Harrison and others) of Pike county,,entitled to receive compensation for services etc.

On the motion of Mr. BUSKIRK, the consideration of the orders of the day was postponed for the introduction of bills.
