Mr. WILSON said this Mr. Harrison (a son of old General Harrison,) was a citizen of his county. He was wrongfully charged with robbery and given up on the requisition of the Governor of the State of Mississippi. It was clearly a mistake as to the personal identity of the Mississippi criminal - Mr. Harrison, at the time of the alleged robbery, being engaged in killing hogs at home.
The joint resolution was then finally passed the House of Representatives - yeas 87, nays 0.
On motion by Mr. LITSON, the Committee on Military Affairs had leave of absence this forenoon.
Mr. BOBO and Mr. CORY obtained leave to record their votes against the 13th Article Repeal bill, S. No. 7.
