RAILROAD TAXATION.

Mr. COBB moved to make the bill, H. R.158, providing for the valuation and assessment of Railroad property, the special order for Monday, 2 o'clock P. M., and that 200 copies thereof be printed.

Mr. NILES was gratified with the motion to print the bill for, in his judgment, it embraces as fair provisions as the wit of man can make.

Mr. CHAPMAN desired all the bills on this subject printed; and raised a point of order as to the present condition of these Railroad bills.

A long discussion ensued in which the history of these bills were recited and their course traced through the last and the present session: - Messrs. VAWTER, NILES, COBB, CORBIN, WILLIAMS and the PRESIDENT pro tem, taking part. After which -

The motion [Mr. Cobb's] was agreed to.
