ASSISTANT DOORKEEPER.

Mr. NEWCOMB, from the Select Committee in this matter, reported the request of the Door-keeper for an additional Assistant to convey mail matter to and from the Post Office, and a request for an additional Assistant in the folding room. The Committee recommend the appointment of one person to fill both places. The report was concurred in.
