THE DOCKETING OF APPEALS.

Mr. NILES, from the Judiciary Committee, returned his bill, No. 210, concerning the docketing of appeals from the Circuit Courts, recommending its passage.

Mr. N. said the law now requires the docketing of cases in the order in which they are filed, but the Judges think it more expedient that causes from the several Circuits may be docketed together, that lawyers may know when they will come up.

On his motion, the bill was read the third time and passed by yeas 36, nays 20.
