This Mr. Speaker, is the 8th of January - the far-famed anniversary of General Jackson's victory at New Orleons, and I want to celebrate it, because I am old fashioned Democrat. [Cheers.]

Mr. MURRAY. If the gentleman will withhold his motion to enable me to offer a resolution, I will go with him.
Mr. LAWHEAD. I withdraw for the gentleman.
Mr. MURRAY. I submit the following resolution:
Resolved, That the Door-keeper be instructed to contract with the publishers of the Volksblat and Frie Press of this city, for three copies of their respective papers, to be enveloped and stamped, for the use of members of this House.
