MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE.

A message from the House of Representatives announced the organization of that body by the election of Jonathan W. Gordon, Speaker; R. J. Ryan, Clerk; G. H. Chapman, Assistant; and Robert Jennings, Door-keeper.

Also, that the House has appointed Messrs. Ritter, Davis and Blythe, a committee on the part of that body to act with the committee appointed by the Senate to wait upon the Governor.

The PRESIDENT pro tempore laid before the Senate the order of business, (being the same as was adopted at the last session.)

Mr. HEFFREN asked and obtained leave to make a report as follows:

MR. PRESIDENT : The select committee appointed by the Senate to act with a like committee on the part of the House to wait upon His Excellency, the Governor, and see at what time it would be convenient for him to deliver his message to this General Assembly, have performed that duty, and report that it will suit his convenience to attend to that duty in the Hall of the House to-day, at 2 o'clock, P. M.
