Press box at 10th Street Memorial Stadium

Construction of the new press box behind the old press box. The old press box was removed before the start of the 1948 football season, and new press box was completed before the 1948 season began.

The new press box had "...three floors, the first for writers, the second for radio personnel and public address announcers, the third for radio , television and newsreel personnel. In addition, both the Indiana and visiting team are furnished two private booths, one for their movie photographer and the other for telephone communications to the bench." (1949 IU Football media guide, page 38)

According to page 27 of the October 17, 1925 IU vs. Syracuse football game program, the old press box provided seating for "...88 writers, arranged in two rows, and outlets for twenty telegraph and telephone wire connections. The box is glass enclosed..."
