Maxwell Hall and the Student Building

image number:

P0053733

description:

Good image showing how Kirkwood Avenue used to come through campus, branched off at Owen and Wylie Halls with part of the road continuing on in between Wylie and Owen Halls and linking up with the road in front of the Chemistry Building. The other part seen here is branching off to run in front of Wylie, Kirkwood and Lindley Halls on its way to Third Street.

When blown up one can see what appears to be remnants of construction of the Student Building in front of that building. Thus, this image was probably shot in 1906. Also, Franklin Hall is not yet seen in the background thus, this image cannot have been shot in 1907 or later.
