An Iris Photometer
According to Tom Borlik this image was "...taken with a Kodak Hawkeye camera...in July 1959 by me while I attended the 1959 Indiana Science Institute at Indiana University. [This image shows an] Iris Photometer, an instrument invented by Dr. James Cuffey of the Indiana University's Astronomy Department, used to measure a star's brightness or magnitude, from photographic glass plates and is shown in a room at Swain Hall West."
