Probably George Grundy Dunn, Jr.

It is known that George Grundy Dunn, Jr. (1846-1891) served for a short time during the U.S. Civil War. He was a member of Company F of the 137th Indiana Regiment which was organized in Indianapolis and mustered on May 26, 1864. They served as railroad guard in Tennessee and Alabama with the Department of the Cumberland until September 21, 1864 at which time they were mustered out. He was graduated from Wabash College in 1867 and married Euphemia Riley on November 8, 1883.

The photographers imprint on the reverse side of this image reads, in full: "Taylor & Seavey, Photographers, for the Army of the Tennessee."

The only George Dunn that can be found in Dunn family genealogy held in the University Archives and that served during the Civil War is George Grundy Dunn, Jr. thus this must be him.
