This image scanned from page 324 of the 1910 Arbutus yearbook. The caption reads, in full: "This massive object is not a gladiator, or a Goliar; or even a bold bad man. It is only Whittenberger, the Indiana Onion fiend. For this idea he has fought, kicked and been kicked, and sworn, and at last succeeded in stinging every male student $1, all to the end that he might be able to play pool at 2 1/2 cents per cue. his persecuted friends have no recourse bit to stand around and watch Whit play pool, and it is a sight for the gods. Aside from this, Whit is a good though homely lad."
Whittenberger, John Miller
