This image appears in the July 25, 1922 edition of The Indiana Daily Student. The caption reads, in part: "When more than 1,800 loyal Summer Session students crowded the University Amphitheatre Wednesday, July 19, at the great student mass meeting which preceeded the summer Memorial campaign, it was an evidence of loyalty to Indiana which is without parallel...Ex-Governor Samuel M. Ralston is shown in the illustration delivering the keynote address..."

The amphitheatre seen here was located where the Chemistry Building stands today (2013). The east side of Kirkwood Hall can be seen through the trees and just left of center.

This image appears on page 7 of the August 19, 1922 edition of The Indiana Alumnus. The caption is in regards to the Memorial Fund Campaign in general and not this image.
