Breaking ground for the 10th Street Memorial Stadium

image number:

description:

The outline for a future fieldhouse can be seen on the east side of the Men's Gymnasium. The fieldhouse would not be completed until 1928 (eleven years after the construction of the Men's Gymnasium).

In the distance, beyond the steam shovel, is Woodlawn Field. Beyond that one can see a row of houses along Woodlawn Avenue where the Collins LLC would eventually be constructed.
