description:

Dr. Tsiang, the commencement speaker, was a Chinese historian and, at the time, the secretary to the president of Kuomintang generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek. He had studied in America, with degrees from Oberlin College and Columbia University, and had returned to represent Chiang at the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Conference, where Herman Wells was a delegate as part of his duties with the U.S. State Department.

Huang came as a part of Dr. Tsiang's party and represented Alumni President Don Herold at the induction of graduates into the Alumni Association. Huang was the former legal secretary for Chiang and national director of the trademark bureau.
