Certificate of School Commission from the State of Indiana
The certificate reads, "This certifies that the Headley School of Bloomington Township, Monroe County, has satisfactorily met the standards prescribed by the State Board of Education for a First Class commission grade one to eight. And that the course of study and character of the work done in above grades entitles the students to the rights and privileges provided by the statutes of Indiana, and the rules of the State Board of Indiana for the commissioned schools in the state of Indiana." The certificate recognizes Headley school as a public institution, dated March 12, 1937, and signed by the President, Secretary (IU President William Lowe Bryan), and Inspector of the Indiana State Board of Education.
