Diploma of Thomas Miller
After graduating from IU, Miller became a tutor at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. Later he was a professor of mathematics and ancient languages at Columbia College in Missouri. In 1841, with his health failing, he undertook a trip to the Rocky Mountains, but before reaching his destination he died and was buried by his companions on the plains.
