Dental Research Unit

description:

This image shows the old Dental Research Unit building whose address was 401 North Jordan Avenue (this is the back side of the building which is facing Stadium Drive in the foreground.) This is the current (2015) site of the Herman B Wells parking lot. Wright Quad can be seen in the distance.

This quonset hut is at least one of the destinations that those children who were involved in the "Crest Tests" traveled to in order to have their teeth checked and to receive free tubes of a specially-formulated toothpaste (a stannous fluoride dentifrice). The formula is what became Crest Toothpaste.
