Gift of Ford School Bus from the Classes of 1932 and 1933.
The July 1933 issue of the IU Alumni Quarterly, page 341 mentions this gift: "The classes of 1932 and 1933 have applied their class memorial funds on the purchase of a Ford twenty-one passenger bus to be used for the transportation of teams and various organizations. The University advanced enough money to complete the purchase and will be reimbursed by organizations which will pay a rental fee for using the bus." The bus was a model BB-18 and according to an advertisement in the August 1932 issue of School Board Journal, the "New Ford School Bus" could accommodate 34 to 50 passengers based on the arrangement of seats. Other records held in the University Archives indicate that the bus was purchased from Graham Motor Sales of Bloomington.
