Guarding Paintings from Metropolitan Museum of Art
At this time, Ed Sovola was a columnist for the Indianapolis Times. The paintings are being guarded in a storage room below the seating area of the Auditorium. The painting the guard is standing in front of is "Portrait of Benedetto Varchi" by Tintoretto. The rifle Ed is holding is an M1 Garand.
