description:

Members of SAE are in the process of painting the old band shell that used to be located at what is known today (2015) as Third Street Park in Bloomington, Indiana. The old third street pool can be seen in the background along with what is today (2015) the Allison - Jukebox Community Center located at 351 South Washington Street. The pool was located to the north and east of the Allison Center. In fact the band shell that is located at the park today (2015) sits on the spot where the slide is seen in this image.

The band shell seen here was located at the extreme east side of the park, bordered by Lincoln Street, almost halfway between Third Street and East Smith (slightly north of the children's playground that is there today (2015)) and directly across the street from 333 Lincoln. The band shell faced the northwest.
