The Lama Temple

Replica of a temple at Hehol that was completed in 1771. The replica was exhibited at the "A Century of Progress International Exposition" at Chicago in 1933. It was then exhibited at the New York World's Fair in 1939.

In 1985, the Indiana University Foundation gained sole position of the replica.

As of 2007 it was supposed to be reconstructed in Sigtuna, Sweden.

This image removed from collection C459 box 168 "Lama Temple". The file contains correspondence, clippings, dimensions, and a sixty-four page book about the temple at the 1933 Chicago Exposition noted above.
