description:

An April 12, 1972 Daily Herald-Telephone (Bloomington, Indiana) article contains another photograph of Hobie in costume and reads, in part: "Comeback Of A Clown: "...former king of the diving entertainment business, returned to fun 'n games side of the sport...in livening the special Royer Pool program that spotlighted divers from IU and Russia. Hobie performed on a trampoline and in the water...Doc Counsilman said the Billingsley contribution to the program was 'a rare treat - Hobie hasn't done that act for about 11 years, and when he was doing it, he was the best."

NOTE: A copy of the program for this event, and the article noted above, can be found in the negative envelope.
