Instant replay at Memorial Stadium
This image scanned from page 45 of the October 2, 1971 IU vs. Syracuse football program. The image illustrates an article entitled "Television's Instant Replay". The caption for the image reads, in full: "At least three television cameras and several mobile television vans are used to provide television coverage of a football game. All decisions about what is to be aired are made by the director (top truck). He may route the pictures from one or several of the cameras to Ampex HS-100 recorders (center truck) for 'instant replay' showing to TV fans. Game action complete with 'instant replays' can be directly transmitted over the air, recorded for later broadcast (bottom truck), or both."
