title: | Intersection of Indiana and Kirkwood avenues |
---|---|
image number: | P0022594 |
description: | Image scanned from the original glass-plate negative. Image was taken from a point approximately where Franklin Hall stands today (2014). The view is looking toward the west/southwest. Indiana Avenue is located directly on the opposite side of the first telephone polls seen just right of center. The first house you see (just left of center and with a wrap around porch) was located on the northwest corner of Indiana and Kirkwood avenues. The houses on the other side of this house are where the Von Lee building, The Bicycle Garage, and People's Park are located today (2014). The stones seen in the foreground of this image suggest the image was taken during construction of The Student Building or the Library (a.k.a. Franklin Hall). |
