This building was located on the northeast corner of Seventh Street and College Avenue. The front of the building is facing Seventh Street which is in the foreground. College Avenue would be to the left. A note written in pencil on the reverse side reads, in full: "Monroe County Seminary & Female Teacher's Institute. Incorporated by the Legislature in 1833. Cornelius Pering A.M. principal. This house was torn down in 1924 and the Masonic Home erected upon its site at the N.E. cor. of 7th & College Ave., Bloomington, Indiana."
